Whangaparaoa College is a large secondary school located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula . The College is close to beaches and nature reserves as well as having the attractions of being in New Zealand’s largest city. Whangaparaoa College has developed a reputation for innovative and exciting educational opportunities and you will be learning in one of the most modern schools in New Zealand.
The College opened in 2005 so all the buildings are in perfect condition. The school is very spacious covering 19.5 hectares, with wide open spaces and large fields. There is a special common room allocated to our international students and a classroom for the teaching of English language support.
Whangaparaoa College also understands that the homestay family plays a very important role in making sure our international students have a very memorable, enjoyable and successful overseas experience. Many of our homestay families have hosted international students previously and have made lifetime connections. All our homestay families are located on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula. Most learners are able to walk to school from home or use the inexpensive school bus. Whangaparaoa College welcomes learners from all around the world. At present we are hosting students from the following countries: Vietnam, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Chile, Spain, China, Brazil, France, South Korea, Italy
